‘Lion In Winter’ Dinner Theater Event November 18-19

By Bill and Kat Fair

Exciting (and delicious) cultural entertainment is coming to the mountain.

James Goldman’s dramatic comedy, “The Lion in Winter,” will be offered in a dinner theatre package on Thursday, Nov. 18 and Friday, Nov. 19. All are welcome to the event at Pine Mountain’s Clubhouse.

Kim Bucio, the Bistro on the Green’s chef extraordinaire, has designed a great menu for the evening, complete with salad, a choice of beef tip stroganoff with red wine and mushroom sauce or a grilled chicken breast with bow tie pasta and creamy lemon sauce. Dessert will be a white chocolate raspberry ice cream truffle. Seating for dinner will begin at 6:30 p.m.

At 8 p.m. dinner will be cleared and the curtain will go up on “The Lion in Winter.” The audience gets to be a fly on the wall at Castle Chinon as Henry II brings his dysfunctional family together for a Christmas you won’t soon forget.

The play then goes to Valencia for a three-week run.

Reservations are being taken for both performances. The special dessert will be served to all at the intermission.

Tickets are $25 for the dinner and show, or $15 for the show and dessert.

Reservations are strongly recommended. Please call 661-242-3788 for tickets and further information. The evening is hosted by Pine Mountain Club Property Owners Association in association with Fair PrintzRavenProductions.

This is part of the November 12, 2010 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
