4th of July Fireworks and Cannons

Free Virtual Fireworks July 2, 3 and 1850s fun on July 4

Celebrate the 4th of July on Sunday, July 2 at 8:30 p.m. with a free, virtual fireworks show in Frazier Mountain Park’s soccer field.

Independence Day starts early when Wes Rogers brings his “crackles, pops, bangs and thundrous explosions” with HD virtual fireworks from around the world. Bring your lawn chair and blankets, make it a family and friends picnic.

On Monday the show will be put up at PMC’s golf course at 8:30 p.m.

On the 4th of July, the whole family will have a blast at Fort Tejon State Historic Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Enjoy a lively day of old-fashioned fun: pie eating contests, an egg toss, tug of wars, candle making, plus much more.

At noon, a 31-cannon salute will give you all the fireworks your eyes and ears can handle to honor all the states in the union in 1856, just as they did when Fort Tejon was the United State’s western-most military outpost.

Bring your family picnic. Dine under the oak trees. [Click into the Calendar on the home page for details.]
