A Note from Angel Cottrell:

Dear Mountain Communities Business Owners,

The Mountain Communities SBDC of WEV has an exciting opportunity available to business owners who wish to participate in this year’s Holiday Faire on December 4 in Frazier Park…microloans!

Through our consultations with local business owners, we have learned that many of you would like to participate as a vendor in the holiday faire, but are unable to gather the funds needed to produce enough product to sell at the event.

As an answer to this need, the SBDC will offer microloans, up to $1,500, through Women’s Economic Ventures microloan program. Attend the SBDC workshop, “The Five Most Important Components of a Business Plan” on October 21 at 6 p.m. in Cuddy Hall.

We will review the paperwork requirements, deadlines for applying to the loan fund (for this specific purpose), and will discuss the terms for paying back the loans. Due to the short window of time to get funds to business owners to fully participate in the Holiday Faire, you must attend the workshop to get the information and materials necessary to receive a loan.

To sign up, please contact the SBDC at 805-667-8004 or go to www.MountainEnterprise.com and click Community FYI: Sign up for SBDC workshops.
