Members and friends, please join our AARP potluck/meeting on Thursday, Nov. 6.
As has been our tradition, our chapter will furnish the delicious turkey, so we ask that members bring side dishes to complement a traditional Thanksgiving dinner—mashed potatoes, dressing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.
Don’t forget your table setup.
Our speaker will be Jonnie Allison of the Frazier Park Public Utilities District. Mr. Allison has asked that if any members have any questions regarding our current water situation, please have your questions ready at the time of the meeting.
Good news
It looks like we will have a new AARP board in place for 2015 and our chapter will survive any possibility of closing. Election of this new board will probably take place at this meeting.
Remember, if you want to purchase raffle ticket(s), please bring small bills, as our cashier finds it difficult to change a 20 dollar bill for a one-dollar ticket—or just buy lots of tickets!
