Staff and students from Frazier Mountain High School will be celebrating their Second Annual Art Opening and Reception on Saturday, May 12 at 6 p.m.

The students have been developing fine art skills throughout the school year in their high school art classes. Now they are excited to publicly display their works of art. The public is invited to come see what they have accomplished.

Jenny Byun will be graduating in June and has attended two art classes in her last semester. Jenny is both gifted and passionate about art: “As I progressed throughout my school years, art has always been a part of who I was, and ultimately has molded me to be the person I am today.”

Jenny plans to attend El Camino Community College in Torrance, CA in the fall.

Juan Eduardo Garcia will be attending College of the Canyons to study mechanical engineering.

Juan Eduardo is very talented. He enjoys creating artwork to express himself, “without using a single word.”

Robert Suparvit Wakeling has been drawing since he could hold a pencil. He prefers realism and states that he has only recently been classically trained in art. Robert defines himself through his artwork and intends to study at an art institute after graduation.

Anna Hart is a senior who plans to attend California State University in Bakersfield, majoring in English.

These are the profiles of only a few of the students who will be exhibiting next month. We would love for the community to come out to support the accomplishments of those gifted in the arts. Come to see that they are truly worth investing in!

The Work of HeArt Gallery is located in Frazier Park behind the Coffee Cantina at 3011 Mt. Pinos Way.

The reception will begin at 6 p.m. Refreshments will be served. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to come.
