(Under Control) Brush fire erupts on northbound I-5 south of Gorman

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at 2:10 p.m.)—The fire is reported to be under control.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at 1:24 p.m.)—All lanes of northbound I-5 at Smokey Bear Road are open.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at 12:40 p.m.)—Caltrans has shut down one lane of northbound I-5 at Smokey Bear.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at 12:22 p.m.)—A median area on the freeway is now reported to be on fire.

GORMAN, CA (Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018 at 12:15 p.m.)—A brush fire broke out on the shoulder of the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 south of Gorman just before 12 noon. According to CHP, the fire is climbing the hillside and burning in an easterly direction.
