CASTAIC, CA (Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at 3:56 p.m.)—U.S. Forest Service reports they will need approximately one more hour for the road closure. Lanes should open by approximately 5 p.m.

CASTAIC, CA (Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at 2:28 p.m.)—A brush fire on the east side of Interstate 5 near Templin Highway has prompted a SigAlert (the closing of two or more traffic lanes for at least two hours) as fire crews assemble to fight the blaze. The slow lanes (#3 and #4) have been closed.
