Those mysterious blank structures on Frazier Mountain Park Road are about to turn into directories of mountain merchants and services.

“We’re almost there,” said former Mountain Communities Chamber President Rachel Unell, who started the project.

On Monday, Aug. 18 Unell said the sign designs have been approved by all 21 merchants and are being submitted for manufacturing this week.

The annual cost to chamber members is $300 for a 2×8 foot sign and $540 for a 4×8 foot sign. That price reflects a $200 discount for chamber members, who also have priority status on the waiting list as openings occur on the sign structure.

Membership in the chamber is $75 per year through March 2015.
