The Mountain Communities were a fun place for children last week.

About 70 parents and children enjoyed the Omnipresent Puppet Theater Thursday, July 12 as part of the Frazier Park Library’s summer reading program. They enjoyed the dragon puppet.

Three days later, some of the same lucky children were learning how to wield a sword on the Mountain Shakespeare Festival’s stage at the Bard’s Faire Sunday, July 15 at the Pine Mountain Village gazebo. Several of the young lads had perfect aim for hurling wet sponges at good natured actors from The Tempest.
