‘Tis the season of sugarplum dreams, kindness, generosity and fun.

On Saturday, Dec. 13, join in the spirit of the season at Christmas in the Village. Dress in Christmas costumes or holiday finery and come out to Pine Mountain Village to help kick off the joyful season.

Wendy of Chatterpillar Toys, Gifts and Balloons will be there to paint elves’ faces, starting at 10:30 a.m. (behind the general store).

• Join in Santa’s parade at 12 p.m. Everyone is invited to march around the village to welcome Santa, then head for the gazebo to share your secret wishes with the top elf himself.

• There will be games, music and prizes while you visit with your friends and neighbors at the gazebo.

• Meanwhile, over at the Pine Mountain Christian Community Church Activity Cabin, you’ll find healthy snacks, soups, fun and storytelling.

• At 4 p.m. Paster Rick Rivette will present The Greatest Story Ever Told.

This is part of the December 12, 2014 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
