A Winter Solstice Celebration

Jim Hanson has played and recorded with world-renowned musicians including Bruce Springsteen, Rosanne Cash and Vonda Shepard. Sarah-Jane Owen co-founded two commercially hot “girl bands” from England that had international hits. Linnea Soledad studied in Italy and Nova Scotia and is devoted to Celtic music.

Now, see them in concert Friday, Dec. 20 at the Work of HeArt Gallery (3011 Mt. Pinos Way in Frazier Park). “Join us for seasonal song, storytelling and merriment,“ their invitation says. There is a $15 suggested donation, “but no one will be turned away for lack of funds, and a portion of the proceeds will feed those in need.”

Santa Photo Ops

The most famous man of the moment, Mr. Santa Claus, is on the threshold of his whirlwind tour, but has at least two more scheduled appearances here on the mountain. On Friday, Dec. 20 Santa stops at the Pine Mountain clubhouse for photo ops, 3-4 p.m. in the Condor Room.

Santa sleds into Chatterpillar in Frazier Park on Saturday, Dec. 21 at 12:00 p.m. (3008 Mt. Pinos Way). He’ll be surrounded by gifts and elfish delights that children of all ages will love. Stop in to take a photo with your wee ones, or your full-grown friends.
