Dear Editor:

December 20, 2013 marked the one-year anniversary of the passing of Dave “da Handyman” Giniewicz, my husband.

I would like to thank this community for its continuing support for his beloved Name Your Price Thrift Store [now located on Alhambra Trail in Frazier Park, around the corner from Caveman Cavey’s Pizza—Editor]. I feel this store benefits this community in some important ways.

This is a call to any local groups or organizations to hold a fundraiser at the Name Your Price Thrift Store.

We do this on the last Saturday of every month. All proceeds from that day’s sales go to the group or organization running the store that day.

This has proved to be a money-maker for Frazier Mountain High School groups, The Vine Pregnancy Center and the Mountain Communities Family Resource Center to assist needy families at the holidays.

We appreciate your continued support. New volunteers are always welcome. Your gently-used items are appreciated and can be passed along to people who can use them.

We have also been working with Focus Central. When you donate items to the thrift store, we can provide you with a donation slip to credit the donation for tax purposes.

You can reach my cell at 818-448-9007.
