The English as a Second Language (ESL) course at the Frazier Park Library has had a great reception.

“We have had a huge turnout so far—over a dozen adults,” reports Marie Smith. The teacher is retired ESL educator Regina Solorio with other teacher volunteers.

At the same time, children are welcome to take part in the library’s Lego Club, to keep them busy during the ESL class.

The Family Resource Center has made referrals and word of mouth is terrific, Smith said.

“We encourage folks to try to make it to every session, as the classes do build on each other,” the librarian added.

The class began September 4. It meets Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:15 p.m. and Fridays at 11:30 a.m. at Frazier Park Library, 3732 Park Drive.
