Do you, your children, or elders in the family need an eye exam?

Are you concerned that you do not have insurance to cover this care?

The Family Resource Center (FRC) in Frazier Park has vouchers to distribute for an eye exam and a pair of glasses for people who meet the guidelines.

The vouchers are to assist low income people who do not have insurance.

Individuals with an annual gross income less then $22,980 are eligible. Add $8,050 to that for each added person in the family to see if your family meets the guidelines. For instance, a family of five that earns $55,140 a year would qualify if they are also U.S. citizens or you are a documented immigrant with a social security number (SSN).

This program is sponsored by a group called VSP, founded as Vision Service Plan in 1955 in Oakland, CA. VSP began as a not-for-profit eye care insurance plan that has now grown to serve 60 million people worldwide.

You’ll need to supply proof of income, identification and your social security number when you go to the Family Resource Center for a voucher.
