GORMAN, CA (Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at 1:57 p.m.)—The fire was in a motor room at National Cement, according Kern County Fire Captain Vanert. Engine 56 was first on scene and extinguished the fire burning in one of the motors, Vanert said.

GORMAN, CA (Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016 at 10:58 a.m.)—A fire was reported at National Cement plant in the Gorman area this morning. Kern County Fire Department dispatch reported that “occupants are evacuating.” No other information is available at this time.
