Falcon Boys and Girls Both Win First Soccer Playoff Games

 

UPDATE—LEBEC, CA (Saturday, Feb. 21, 2016)—The girls soccer team enters the semifinals in a game with Farmersville at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 23. The boys team ended their season on Thursday against Exeter, which won 4-2.

UPDATE- Arvin, CA (Wednesday, Feb. 17)—Girls soccer won 2-0 against Arvin. Falcons move into the semi finals next Tuesday, Coach Sharon Lemburg announced tonight, Boys soccer won their first playoff game yesterday and have another at Exeter tonight.  Go Falcons!

UPDATE—Lebec, CA (Wednesday, Feb. 17)—On Tuesday, Feb. 16, FMHS boys soccer played California City in the Central Section CIF playoffs. It was a Falcon home victory. They won 5-2 and go on to play away at Exeter on Thursday at 7 p.m.

The girls soccer team plays its first CIF playoff match in Arvin Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 7 p.m.

UPDATE- Frazier Mountain High School boys soccer plays at home on Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. against California City for their first CIF playoff round. Come on out to support the Falcons to victory. Let’s bring home another Central Section Championship.
If they win they will play on Thursday, away at Exeter, 7 p.m. Following that would be a match on Tuesday, Feb.  23, away and then Feb.27 would be the finals, away. Go Falcons!

FMHS Falcon girls soccer plays on Wednesday, Feb. 17, 7 p.m. against Arvin, away,  (the game was changed from Friday, Feb.19 to Wednesday). If the Falcons win, they will play the following Tuesday, Feb. 23, away (probably at Farmersville), 7 p.m. in the semi-finals. That could be followed by the finals on Feb.27, TBA. Go Falcons!

Playoffs are single elimination: you lose, you are done.
Both teams placed second in the High Desert League. Under Division VI, the girls are ranked #1 in playoffs. The boys are ranked #6. Playoff brackets can be viewed on here for the girls and the boys’ playoff brackets can be viewed here ,
