Frazier Mountain Park swing set to be replaced

Frazier Park, CA (Monday, March 1, 2016 at 4:14 p.m.)—This may not be catastrophic ‘breaking news,’ but it will be of great interest to Friends of Frazier Mountain Park and all those who use the park often. Kern County Superintendent of Parks Larry Swan wants the community to be aware that the very old swing set in the tot playground at Frazier Mountain Park has to be removed. It will be replaced with a brand new set “with two adult and two infant-sized swings,” Swan said. It will take six to eight weeks for the new swing to arrive and to be installed, he warned.

Last week a back hoe was working in the tot park to level the sand. It accidentally damaged the old swing set, which was scheduled for replacement anyway, Swan said. He added that the old set was ‘grandfathered in’ but the new one will be in compliance with current standards.
