Hearing on Bus Fare Changes Announced

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Wednesday, May 25, 2016 at 2:49 p.m.)—Kern Transit has announced a public meeting set for Tuesday, June 7 at 2 p.m. before the Kern County Board of Supervisors (1115 Truxtun Avenue in Bakersfield) about new transit bus fares for their entire system. Some fares will be dropping, such as for youths (5-15), the disabled and seniors over 62 years of age.

“Kern Transit is offering free transportation to the public hearing via its regularly scheduled routes. Details about this offer and information about the proposed fare structure is available online at Kern Transit’s website, www.kerntransit.org or by calling (661) 862-5032,” the announcement said.
