The Mountain Communities Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce the return of the Holiday Faire and Parade this year. Robin Willoughby (of Mountain Day Spa) is leading the group of business owners committed to holding the event. We have many great things planned, with emphasis on our local talent.

The fun is 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 with the muchanticipated Holiday Faire Parade at 4 p.m. All businesses in our community are encouraged to participate in the event. Let’s start out this Holiday Season with a true “Mountain Holiday” celebration.

We are seeking local restaurants to take part, so we can offer food during the day. We’ll need a commitment by November 1 to make it into our brochure, which is new for this year’s event.

All applications are on the www.mymountainchamber.com site, or pick one up at Mountain Day Spa or In the Wings Studio of Dance. The deadline to be listed in the program will be November 1 for activities and vendors.

We will hold a Treasure Hunt, a Best Dressed Business contest (including businesses mountain-wide from Gorman to Pine Mountain), and there will be prizes (first, second and third place) voted by the community via the chamber website. Businesses must enter the contest by November 30 and all decorations must be up by then. Last votes must be submitted by December 15. Results will be given to The Mountain Enterprise to announce the winners.

Community members interested in participating and volunteering, contact Willoughby at robin@skintherapybyrobin.com.
