Hungry Valley coaches FFA teens–New partnerships blossom for high school

What could be more fun for a teenager than racing over mountain slopes on powerful machines, wearing gear that makes them look like Transformer action heroes?

Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) hosted five teens from Frazier Mountain High School last week, putting them through the ATV Safety Institute of America certification.

“In the past we’ve brought in kids from far away,” said Hungry Valley SVRA Sector Superintendent Kent Miller. Classes have come from distant parts of Los Angeles County, but local Mountain Community youth had not been invited to…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
