Hurry! Last days to give to Toys for Tots

Local program to bring holiday joy to children and teens needs your TLC now

Donate (and apply) by Dec. 12; Distribution day is Dec. 17

By Anne Duhm and Jill Neptune

The Toys for Tots and Gifts for Teens Project needs your donations today! All local donations are given to tots and teens in the Mountain Community.

Bring a sparkle to the eyes of a child and holiday cheer to the heart of a teen by donating a new, unwrapped toy or gift.

Please place toys and gifts in boxes throughout the Mountain Communities [see locations below].

If you are short on time to shop, consider donating a gift certificate for a teen to a local merchant, doubling the holiday cheer!

Drop gift card donations at the Family Resource Center [3015 Mt. Pinos Way, FP, Mon.–Fri. 8:30 a.m.–4 p.m., closed 12–1 p.m.].

Last year Toys for Tots served 200 local children and teens.

Eligible families may apply at the Family Resource Center until December 12. Gifts for tots and teens will be distributed on December 17 at the Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church.

Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to brighten the holidays for our youth!

Drop-off Locations: The Mountain Enterprise office, CHP office in Lebec, Lebec Post Office, ACE Hardware, Frazier Park Market, In the Wings Studio of Dance, Outlets at Tejon, Los Pinos Restaurant, Frazier Park Post Office, California Bank and Trust, Chatterpillar, The Kern County Sheriff’s Frazier Park Substation, Midway Market, Mountain View Mini Mart, PMC Clubhouse, Bear With Me in PMV, the Family Resource Center and Mountain Top Video—which is also offering one free video rental per family with a Toys for Tots or Gifts for Teens donation (minimum $5 value).
