It’s high-fives for the first day back to school

Students appeared enthusiastic about their first day back to school, on Wednesday, Aug. 15.

Frazier Park Elementary School students were greeted by smiling California Highway Patrol officers handing out golden sticker badges and high-fives.

Kids were surprised and excited to receive the gifts and to be greeted by the CHP officers.

At El Tejon School, the first order of business right off the bus was, for many, to scan “the board” to see which teacher they’ve gotten this time.

Noah Reyes, Ryan Banks, Daughtry Ross and Aiden Fowler happily reunited before they got on the bus to El Tejon Middle School to begin their first day as fifth graders. Noah asked to give a shout out to Melinda with Ponyland Pony Parties and Petting Zoo, whom he assists with children’s’ pony rides.
