    Jukka Hellsten

This note from Jukka (pronounced ‘yooka’) Hellsten’s family was deeply appreciated by our staff, which worked to tell a difficult story well.

November 23, 2009
Dear Editor:

The Hellsten family would like to express our sincerest gratitude to The Mountain Enterprise and its staff. From the beginning, the first time Mari Hellsten approached The Mountain Enterprise, she felt like somebody finally took the situation seriously and started to investigate immediately.

This gave the family much comfort, although it came from a surprising source.

Unfortunately there was not enough time in between. On the day that Jukka’s body was found, although present at the scene, The Mountain Enterprise staff was incredibly gracious and considerate toward Mari, which is greatly appreciated. After that, our family has constantly been told of all new developments prior to publishing.

This kind of journalistic integrity is unexpected and truly appreciated.

The Mountain Enterprise has realized our pain and sorrow and they have focused on facts, not overdramatized the salacious details. It is clear to us that The Mountain Enterprise is concerned about the future of Frazier Park and the safety of all the people of this beautiful mountain town.

From the Hellsten Family and Jukka’s friends all over the world, a sincere thank you.
