[Please note: The new well mentioned in the notice (Well 7), which has the high nitrate level, has not been contributing water to the Lake of the Woods system, according to Lake of the Woods Mutual Water Company officials. They say it is scheduled to go online next week. The company did not know the specific date for its deployment as we went to press on Wednesday. The high-nitrate notice is intended to notify water customers of the increased nitrate levels that will occur once Well 7 is brought online. When Well 7 goes online, the precautions mentioned in the notice should be followed. A breaking news item will be posted here when we are informed about the date that Well 7 will be taken online.]
