Saturday, Oct. 1

The colorful tradition of street painting began in Italy in the 16th century during the fall season. A crowd would gather whenever an itinerant artist would begin to use his chalk to turn the ordinary pavement into a work of art. Although the “paintings” lasted only until the next rain, the tradition of street painting has endured over the centuries.

Observing the creative tradition “Le Coffee Cantina of Frazier Park” will be brimming with street painters sponsored by businesses, organizations and individuals, as the friends of Le Coffee Cantina host the 11th annual Street Painting Festival.

The artists will fill the pavement with their works of art. The festival has something for everyone.

Entertainment will include local musicians and other local talents, a spaghetti sauce contest and of course delicioso café fare. Join us and share the inspiration!
