Lebec pipeline firm to be sentenced on criminal charges

Sentencing is scheduled this week for a company operating oil pipelines through Lebec and the Mountain Communities. Plains All American Pipeline, LP was convicted in September by a state jury on nine criminal counts in the worst crude oil spill on California’s coastline since the 1960s.

In a press release, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra said the company was convicted of felony failure to properly maintain its dangerous, highly-pressurized…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
