LEBEC, CA (Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017 at 11:01 a.m.)—A collision between a big rig and a small black passenger car at 10:30 a.m., along southbound Interstate 5 a half mile south of Frazier Mountain Park Road, left the car on its roof and its occupant being taken via medevac to a hospital with major injuries. Preliminary, unconfirmed CHP reports indicate that the black car may have hit the back of the big rig. Southbound I-5 traffic was backed up for several miles while the helicopter landed to pick up the injured.
