Marijuana fields found above Lake of the Woods

Looking over the evidence, it appears that it was probably at the beginning of May this year when growers began cultivating four separate plots of marijuana seedlings in the Los Padres National Forest above Lake of the Woods.

The location, The Mountain Enterprise has discovered, appears to be in the Tecuya Ridge area above Lake of the Woods, in Black Bob Canyon.

A leader of the Kern County Sheriff’s Major Violators Unit, working with the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting (CAMP) team, said about 9,800 plants were destroyed last week. Kern County Fire Department helicopter crews…
