This forum is an introduction to the six candidates who are running for three 3-year terms on PMCPOA’s nine-member board of directors. Ballots have been sent out. Voters can cast votes for three candidates. •Sign the inner yellow envelope so your vote will be counted.

By mail, your ballot should be sent by June 8 to arrive by June 16. By hand, you can submit your ballot at 12:45 to 1 p.m. at the PMC Members’ Annual Meeting June 18 in the Condor Room. Election results will be tallied and announced there.

The questions here come from interviews, emails, letters and calls from PMC members and former directors.

The sequence in which candidates appear here is based on the order in which they replied to our questions. A word budget is given for each question, so all have equal space in which to reply. We do not edit the candidates’ answers. Their spelling, grammar and expression are their own. If they overshoot their word budget, the answer is cut off at the count, and marked with **.

This is the note we wrote to candidates:

We appreciate you stepping up to challenging questions during this election season and your willingness to reply in a way that will help voters make wise choices.

Question 1: Three of you have served on the PMCPOA board already. Three of you have not. Please tell us how your experience makes you the candidate who deserves our vote. [40 words]
