FRAZIER PARK, CA (Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.)—Kern County Sheriff’s Department Community Service Volunteer Merrill ‘Curly’ Baughman passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, April 4 at about 11 a.m., according to Sergeant Mark Brown of the Frazier Park sheriff’s substation. “He was surrounded by his three daughters, Bonnie, Nancy, and Donna when he passed.  I spent a few hours with his family afterward, and they are doing well,” Brown wrote in an email this morning. Baughman was 99 years old. Services will be announced in The Mountain Enterprise. Brown believes services may be held next month to allow for travel arrangements by family and friends across the United States.
