A thirsty forest and drought-weary residents welcomed rain and snow last week. The storm came with a few fender benders, a power outage, some flooding, high wind gusts and downed trees—a 115 mile per hour gust was even reported in the Gorman area along the Grapevine—but the precipitation was a welcome gift to kick off the holiday season for the entire state. More rain arrived Tuesday night.
