New tests show Pinon Pines water is clear of coliform bacteria

FRAZIER PARK, CA (Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.)—Pinon Pines Mutual Water Company received test results late Wednesday, March 18, showing no coliform bacteria in its water systems. See the initial report posted on 3/16/15. A letter from PPMWC Board President Lee Benda follows.

Late yesterday we received notice from the testing lab that all samples submitted in the last round of samples submitted came back as negative for coliform bacteria.

The State Water Resources Control Board will not require any additional special sampling. Modifications to the system are in progress to prevent this type of thing from happening again.

Pinon Pines Mutual Water Company would like to thank the Mountain Enterprise for the very timely publishing of the Coliform Notice. Based on the amount of feedback we received from the community, it’s clear that the Enterprise is widely read as well as the online version.

Thanks,
Lee Benda
Water Board President
