Unfortunately, Glenn Mollette’s screed against pharmaceutical profiteering in last week’s issue of The Mountain Enterprise [“OpEd: Stop Pharmaceutical Nightmares” by Glenn Mollette] promotes a great untruth about drug development.

“We want companies to be profitable,” he wrote, “so they can invest in research…”

No, we don’t.
