OpEd: Where is the care and respect we need for the heart of our Mountain Community?

I walked our Frazier Mountain Park grounds this year, as I have for the last three years of Fiesta Days. I looked down at the dead grass turned to dirt on my dusty toes. It appears the park has not been watered this summer. I felt the early heat of the day begin.

To the right, as I entered, I saw a fishing pole dangle into the mirage memory of what used to be our beautiful pond. Weeds and unkempt cattails have…(please see below to view full stories and photographs)
