Parad?so Show Offers Glitter, Glam and Talent

A near-capacity crowd of 250 filled the cafetorium of Frazier Mountain High School Saturday night, May 9, to cheer those participating in the third annual Paradíso Talent Showcase and Competition.

The show was produced by Focus Central.

Paradíso 2009 Winner—Upper Division (ages 14-25): $500–Best of Show: Ian Kearns-Brown for his contemporary dance solo, which he also choreographed; $400–Second Place: Frazier Mountain High School Drumline; $300–Third Place: Logan Kelly for his guitar solo.

Lower Division

(ages 13 and under): $200–First Place: Jake Westover for his drum solo; $100–Second Place: Mercy Kowalski for her dance solo; $80–Special Judges’ Award to Erin Kearns-Bown for her modern dance solo.
