Passenger van rollover now reported as a fatality accident

LEBEC/GORMAN, CA (Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 2:53 p.m.)—CHP has reported this incident as a fatality accident.

LEBEC/GORMAN, CA (Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 12:54 p.m.)—All lanes were reported opened at 12:53 p.m.

LEBEC/GORMAN, CA (Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 12:50 p.m.)—An early report to CHP by a witness that the passenger van had hit a motorcyclist turned out to be incorrect. Early reports were that one person was trapped under the van.

LEBEC/GORMAN, CA (Sunday, May 15, 2016 at 12:19 p.m.)—A passenger van rolled over on the northbound I-5 just south of Frazier Mountain Park Road exit at around 11:30 a.m. several people with minor to moderate injuries were transported to hospitals via ground ambulance. One person is currently being picked up to be flown out via Los Angeles County Fire Department medevac helicopter, which has landed on the freeway. Traffic has been backed up for 45 minutes beyond Gorman with many motorists exiting at Gorman and taking Peace Valley Road to Frazier Mountain Park Road.
