Police Perimeter Being Established in Lebec

UPDATE–LEBEC, CA  (Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at 7:26 p.m.) – Our reporter at the scene said,”The officers are in touch with the people inside the house now and things appear to have stabilized. This looks like it will take a long time to sort out, nothing is happening very quickly.”

Though law enforcement vehicles are parked in front of the veterinary hospital on Lebec Road, MountainAire reports that the staff there are okay and the incident is not affecting their facility.

UPDATE–LEBEC, CA  (Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at 7:11 p.m.) –KCSO Watch Commander Lieutenant Williams says there is a peace disturbance between a father and a son in the1000 block of Lebec Road. There was a “nonspecific mention of a gun” in the first report. “I’m unfamiliar with the call and am in metro Bakersfield,” Lt. Williams said, adding, “I’m just reading notes right now myself to figure out what is going on.”

LEBEC, CA  (Friday, Oct. 7, 2016 at 7 p.m.)— A police presence is gathering in Lebec as part of an action in the 1000 block of Lebec Road. One officer said there was a report of a man with a gun. There are currently four CHP and one Kern County Sheriff’s units deployed.
