PMC Chair Gurtner now says member vote may occur…but on what is unclear

The question members are asking about is the proposed $7 million loan and single plan to renovate the clubhouse revealed January 14. Earlier it was promised that there would be multiple options presented to the members.

The chairman of the Pine Mountain Club Property Owners Association said he has received “input” from many members about the proposed $7 million, 25,364 sq. ft. clubhouse plan which would require PMCPOA to seek loan financing.

Homeowners would repay the loan by increasing assessments. Inability to pay the assessment hikes could lead to foreclosure on members’ homes.

In his comments at a special board meeting January 14 (which was not recorded on video as is now established practice) Gurtner said there is “no need” to give members a vote on the issue of the board taking on a $7 million debt that the members must repay.

But at the Saturday, Jan. 21 board meeting, the input appeared to have had an impact….
