A Congress bitterly divided and in gridlock may be today’s reality, but it was once even worse. President Abraham Lincoln will be at Fort Tejon on Sunday, June 1 to share his wisdom about the disaster of the American Civil War.

The famous president—or at least a historian and actor who channels the legendary statesman—is being brought here for a presidential press conference by the Fort Tejon Historical Association as part of the sensational 31st Annual Civil War Reenactment Invitational. This is one of the biggest ever held at Fort Tejon, complete with authentic brass band.

History buffs will want to be there, and parents have a rare opportunity to share living history with their children. There are special discounts for families. —PH
