Early winter snows have been gentle, inviting sledding fun from Frazier Mountain Park to Apache Saddle, with good road clearance and easy access.

Phyllis and Rick Throckmorton’s grandsons Quinten, 9 with Connor, 6 from Oxnard spent the holidays in Pine Mountain. "We went sledding four days in a row and it wore us out. Son Jonathan and daughter-in-law Tiffany were doing the ‘launching,’" Rick Throckmorton writes. The family sledded at Mil Potrero Park.
