The beautiful Frazier Park Library is a jewel in our community. It has become a hub of cultural life; a center of exciting events, discovery and learning for people of all ages.

Tucked away in the Friends of the Frazier Park Library Board of Directors’ minutes for January was this note: “The Frazier Park Library will continue to be open Fridays until June. Utilization is critical for continued Friday operation. It is important that this information be widely circulated.”

If you haven’t been to visit the library on Park Drive yet (turn right just beyond the Frazier Park Post Office), do it this week.

Discover this amazing little treasure, and then visit often.

County services are evaluated like private businesses these days: it is a numbers game, with Bakersfield keeping score. Let’s keep the staffing and hours to serve our community well. All it requires is that you accept the gift.

Meet your friends there, and tell everyone you know: use it…or lose it.

Library hours: T–Th 11–7;
Fri.–Sat. 9–5
3732 Park Drive, FP • 661-245-1267
