Pine Mountain Club and Frazier Park,  CA (May 14, 2015 at 10:20 a.m.)Snow fall as begun again in the Pine Mountain community at 6,000 feet. There is light rain in Frazier Park. The snow in the Pine Mountain community is intermittent, lasting 10 minutes, then stopping. The National Weather Service predicts precipitation today and tomorrow, with sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday. That may be special order weather for Lilac Festival this weekend. Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 50. West wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Rain showers before 11pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers. Some thunder is also possible. Low around 30. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east southeast after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Snow showers likely before 11am, then a chance of rain showers. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 51. Light and variable wind becoming north northeast 5 to 10 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Pine Mountain Club, CA (May 14, 2015 at 6:30 a.m.)—Yes, right here, four days after Mother’s Day, big ‘cotton tail’ snow flakes were dropped over the Mountain Communities by storm clouds. Gorman Elementary School has called a snow delay. But, as teacher Michi Knight said, “that will probably jinx the snow….” It did. Birds are singing and the sun is rising through the clouds just a few minutes later.
