U-12 Legacy vs. Burgundy Beasts
By Wendy Watson

Saturday Oct. 30 brought a beautiful cloud-filled sky to the soccer fields at El Tejon School. Our U-12 teams were charged and ready to go as Legacy (coached by Laura Raymond and Loren Graham) met the Burgundy Beasts (coached by Jeff Neeley and Bill Shillig, sponsored by Mountain Auto Body).

It was an intense and scoreless first half. Legacy keeper Robert Jensen and Beasts keeper Alex Smith swiped every ball that came their way.

In the third quarter Legacy’s Mason Raymond made a spectacular goal, assisted by Lea Graham. Both teams made numerous attempts to score with energy and skill.

In the last seconds Lea Graham took the ball from her defensive position all the way to the net to score a goal! Final score, Legacy 2, Beasts 0.

Players and coaches displayed great sportsmanship, making this game what AYSO is all about… Fun, Fair and Safe!

AYSO Game Report for U-14 Tropic Thunder vs. Dynasty Saturday, Nov. 13

by Lee Bizzini

The cold, blustery day greeted Tropic Thunder, coached by Keisha Huning and Dynasty, coached by Beth Villanueva as they faced each other on Saturday, Nov. 13.

Austin Crist of Tropic Thunder wasted no time in scoring their first goal in the first quarter. However, Dynasty’s Taurino Rodriguez followed with one of his own, bringing the score to 1-1.

In the third quarter, both goalies, Danny Mosso, Tropic Thunder and Taurino Rodriguez, Dynasty, did a great job of blocking, yet Dynasty’s Alex Onyshko did manage to sneak one in.

Dynasty continued their lead in the fourth quarter thanks to Monick Ya Powers who blasted the ball into the goal, bringing the final score to 3-1 in favor of Dynasty. Congratulations to both teams as they go on to playoffs.
