It is all about romance this weekend. Valentine’s Day and the Falcon’s Winter Formal are highlights.

Do you have the perfect poem or love song to croon to your beloved? It is Open Mic Night at Coffee Cantina for Valentine’s Day. The fun begins at 6 p.m. Bring your instrument, your poetry, your songs or your stand-up routine to impress your sweetheart. A gourmet vegetarian and regular dinner is offered (661.245.3166).

Over at Mommy’s Roadhouse in Pine Mountain Village, the Valentine’s Day menu is prime rib or Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo for $40 per couple, 6–10 p.m. (661.242.1600).

Café Silva Bella in Pine Mountain Village offers grilled salmon topped with lobster avocado mango salsa, served with baby potatoes and veggies. Call 661.242.2131.

At La Sierra Mexican Restaurant in Frazier Park, enjoy romantic dancing with the band YesterYear, 6-9 p.m. with their famous spirit of friendly fun (661.245.3628).

Cheerleaders host ‘Candyland’ Winter Formal

Mountain High School from 7 to 11 p.m. A special DJ surprise will offer fun to Falcons. Single tickets are $20 each, two for $35, on sale until February 13 at the school.
