According to the Natinoal Weather Service, light snow showers are likely on Monday. Cloudy, with a high near 37. North northwest wind between 14 and 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch predicted

A storm that has been sitting off the West Coast giving the Mountain Communities spectacularly moody skies is pushing inland. Light snow may bring slippery travel to the area, so be prepared. Drive carefully for icy conditions and stay safe.

AccuWeather.com predicted the mountains of Los Angeles County and Kern Counties could have snow down to 4,000 feet. So far there are no closures along the Grapevine (5:42 a.m. Monday, Jan 26). Call1 800 427-7623 for road conditions.

The heaviest snow is expected to be across the Rockies and the central Plain states.
