Imagination and talent have been the only predictable factors in The Dance Studio’s annual recitals for 32 years. Now Jamie Roberts, owner of the Frazier Park school that has mentored three generations, says the studio will close its doors after “Heart Beats,” its final performance on Friday, June 25 and Saturday, June 26.

“The economy has really hit us hard, we can no longer reasonably keep our doors open,” Roberts said, “I am so sorry to be making this decision, as I have been a part of the studio studio since I was a little girl, but we cannot afford to stay open any longer. I fear ours is a sad reality facing many business’ right now. I’m just so thankful for the opportunity I’ve had to be a part of this community and a part of my students lives.”

Janis Schmidt owned The Dance Studio for 27 years. She retired from El Tejon School and moved to the coast. Jamie Roberts owned it for 5 years.
