‘The Mountain Ride’ Carpool Service Begins

In this issue you will find the beginning of The Mountain Ride, a carpool project sponsored by The Mountain Enterprise.

We all enjoy living on the mountain, but since January 2007 the price of crude oil has vaulted from $60 to more than $130 a barrel. The goal of The Mountain Ride is to support our readers’ need to find more affordable ways to make your daily commutes.

“There are other services not focused on this specific community, but we believe this community needs its own,” publisher Gary Meyer said. The service will evolve into an online utility.
