The Mountain Shakespeare Festival Offers Dynamite Entertainment: Rain Check for Bard’s Faire

By Kat Fair

So there the audience was at intermission, buying tickets for the Bard’s Faire for Kids fundraiser drawing, and – KABOOM! It started raining—and raining —and raining—and hailing!

If you were there and would like to see the second act, please come back on Friday, July 23 for the 8 p.m. performance and for the drawing. Backstage, amidst the downpour, Dillon Forrester was chosen as Jester and Katie Barnes as Queen of the Faire. Both received their crowns and gifts, but things got a little too wild to finish the drawing.

Save your tickets, or buy new ones at the Friday evening raincheck drawing. Prizes were donated by generous local business owners, and range from $5 to $50 items and gift certificates. For more information, call the Mountain Shakespeare Festival info line at 242-6904.

This is part of the July 24, 2009 online edition of The Mountain Enterprise.
