The public conversation on privatizing libraries has just begun

Kern County Supervisor Mike Maggard seemed a little surprised at his board’s regular meeting Tuesday, March 10, to hear that Friends of the Kern County Library are concerned about the county’s lack of transparency when it comes to a decision to possibly privatize management of the Kern County library system.
