Theft of water valve closes Jack-in-the-Box in Lebec; store re-opened

UPDATE–LEBEC, CA (Friday, Oct. 28, 2016 at 7 a.m.) —Jack-in-the-Box is open again after being closed a short time on Thursday due to theft of a water valve. The theft was discovered about 5 a.m. and closed shortly after. The restaurant was opened again by 1 p.m. Thursday, Brian Luscomb from the corporate office said today.

LEBEC, CA (Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016 at 9:50 a.m.)—Travelers and local Jack-in-the-Box customers woke to a rude surprise this morning when told the restaurant was closed after thieves took an expensive water valve at the property on Wainright Court in Lebec. A plumbing contractor was onsite installing a new valve this morning. An estimate of when the restaurant might reopen was not available.
